I AM APPROVED FOR MY WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY PEOPLE!!!! IT TOOK JUST UNDER A YEAR, BUT, PRAISE GOD, I AM APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started this process in July '09. Was told I would most likely have to fight for my WLS since my insurance company hates sleeves. But, I like to fight. So I basically told my insurance "bring it on". They just want you to crawl away and give up. Not this girl!

Just got my letter from the outside review agency. In part, this is the reviewer's opinion:

THE REVIEWER HAS DECIDED TO OVERTURN THE HEALTH PLANS DECISION.

1. HAS THE HEALTH PLAN, IN ITS DETERMINATION OF MEDICAL NECESSITY, ACTED REASONABLY, WITH SOUND MEDICAL JUDGEMENT ADN IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PATIENT?

     NO

2. IS THE REQUESTED HEALTH SERVICE TREATMENT OF (WLS) AND 1 DAY INPATIENT STAY, MEDICALLY NECESSARY FOR THIS PATIENT?

    YES

3. DO YOU UPHOLD OR OVERTURN, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, THE HEALTH PLAN'S DETERMINATION OF MEDICAL NECESSITY?

     OVERTURN

This just happened within the past hour. I am BEYOND elated. I am living in a Dali painting right now and everything looks weird. I am crying tears of joy over this.
