Great new recipe for protein shake (In my opinion!)

Hi all,

I have noticed that I was starting to go back into bad habits with eating and carbs etc.  So I decide to the basics and do the 5 day pouch test.  I'm now on the 3rd day but so far so good.

I found a new protein shake that I made:

Syntha-6 Vanilla - 1 scoop
4oz of silken tofu
1-2 tablespoons of sugar free strawberry jam (or a couple of frozen strawberries)
about 8 oz of water.

I blended it up in a magic bullet.

Great!

Also another thing that is good is 1 hard boiled egg cut up with about 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and a little salt and pepper.  This is a great breakfast.

The 5 day test thing has been ok.  I've not followed it to the "T" but I have got my eating back under control.  I think that is what I really needed.

I did purge my kitchen of all the things that I should not be eating on a regular basis.

It's a way to "reset" your pouch with you find that you are eating too many carbs, start gaining weight, no longer feel the "full" felling after a bit more food that you should eat.

It's really for people in maintenance that the above apply to.

Read more about it here:  http://5daypouchtest.com/

I did the 5 day pouch test and I was amazed at the difference after. I dropped 3 pounds during the 5 days and I ate so much less. My pouch felt tighter and I got full so much faster! It's a good thing to try now and hen. It helps get you back on track. I'll be 9 months post op next week, and I found myself going back to old habits as well.....I'm so close to my goal, so I'm trying really hard to stay on track.

Thanks for the shake idea...it sounds really good!
