Where is everyone these days?
Well a lot of people are on facebook. I used to be one of those people on facebook but I decided to come back to OH :) I need my peeps here and not at a place where I'm easily distracted by games LOL Work for me has been hectic for the past three months. So I don't get to post as much but I do read up on everything. I'm thinking about restarting my feed bag and three things posts again though.
I pop in here now and then. When I lost a big chunk of my weight I became so much more active. I just don't spend much time in OH. I come back because I know I really depended on folks farther out for advice and helping me see the goal. I love seeing posts of folks going through the process. I especially love seeing people transform over the months and years. I am well and doing great. I feel like a new person. Most importantly, I have made some wonderful friends from this board.

Shea, I don't know if I can pinpoint an exact time. I made a commitment exercise about 6 weeks pre-op and continue that regime today, 2 years later. I knew it would be critical to my success. It was my weak point. About 5 months post-op I went on a cruise. I changed the way I vacationed. I chose activities that involved exercise and more adventure. I had mentally made myself believe I could not and would not like these activities. It turned out that I loved them. Just this last December I cruised again and ziplined through the jungle and tubed through caves on a river. I would never do that before. I believe our minds keep us from doing things we can. A big part of recovery after WLS is changing your state of mind. Don't let your past actions and inactivity keep you from achieving what you want after surgery. -- Tom
