day one

got home yesterday .... full of pain and gas.  sure this too will pass.  can say im banded not branded lol .  anyone else been banded lately?  like a buddy to heal with.

Congrats on your successful surgery. I am banded but it's been almost 2 years. You will recover fast, usually much faster than RNY folks. Feel free to ask me any post-op questions.

Well done and welcome home. Banded 10/28 so not a newbie either. Walk walk walk and sip sip sip.. a sure recipe for healing.

I was banded 32 days ago. I hated the gas pain (in my shoulder!) more than the pain of the incision sites. It went away in 2 days if I remember correctly. Heating pads helped a lot.

Now you'll find out how much swelling there is in your stomach by how restricted you feel when you eat. I had a lot of trouble swallowing pills for the first 3 weeks. Now, at 32 days out, I feel very little restriction at all. Only when I eat a cup of food relatively quickly do I feel like it might not go down.
