One year ago at this time I was getting ready to go to the hospital and I remember I was so scared about doing something I may regret later.

Well one year later I am here to say it was one of the better decisions I have made in my lifetime.

I was miserable and had been stuck at a weight that I could not be comfortable with for about 8 years and saw no way out. I was becoming a shut in and was very depressed and hopeless.

One year later I am down about 130 lbs, 16 inches in the waist and off all blood pressure and cholesterol meds and no c pap machine. I am comfortable with myself and am relatively happy.

I can see that I will always have to pay attention to what goes in my mouth and that this is not a cure all but is a great tool to help me manage my food addiction.

I am so grateful to the people here on OH who supported me thru my crazy moments and were there to answer all my questions and give me advise when I needed it most.

I was trying to paste some before and after pics in this message but I cant seem to figure out how.
If you would like to see them, send a friend request as there are some on my profile.

Good luck to everyone on this fantastic journey.
Kevin

I have been away from the board for along time. I am going to be tow years out in June. Congratulations on your journey you said it was one of the better decisions you have made for me it was the best thing I could do for myself. Two years out and I have maintined a 150# weight loss from 325 to 175 I feel great. Food no longer controls what I do in fact I eat to live and it is just the fuel I need to survive. Many of my frieds beleive I am to regimented about food but it is what is is. I still drink two protein drinks a day take my supplements and am more active now than I have ever been in my adult life.

You look great continue to take care of yourself and enjoy life.
