Yea!!! I have found my people on OH!

Hello Family!!  I have been reading the boards for a long time and never felt the urge to post except for a couple of questions until now!

My name is Pam and I have been researching WLS for almost 2 years and it looks like I finally made it.  My insurance won't cover any WLS so I finally decided to bite the bullet and my surgery is this coming Monday, 4/19.  I know a support network is crucial to being successful and I hope that I have found that. 

I know that the advice and shared experiences on here is invaluable.

I look forward to communicating in the coming days....I know I will need your help

BTW, this liquid pre-op diet is a drag.  I have been perfect and only lost 3 pounds in 12 days!  What's up with that?

Surgery on Monday.  Best of luck.  I had surgery on 3/24.  Lost 17 pounds on the 2 week liquid diet.  So you're "family"?  Welcome.  It's nice to see "others" do exist...  I'll as you as a friend.

My wife and I are both nearly 6 years post-RNY.

Yes, the DS is here!  Actually, it has been here for 2-3 years and laparoscopically at that!

Congrats! I revised from RNY to DS and couldn't be happier.

Hope your surgery went well and you are now on the loser's bench....Always room for another!
