6 weeks out and I have not lost anything and gained 4 pounds in 2 week.
I had gastric bypass surgery 6 weeks ago and have not lost anything in 2 weeks and have gained 4 pounds.  My monthly friend was last week but I should be back to normal now.
I'm really confused.
Has anyone experienced this?
My doc told me this is normal, but really to gain 4 lbs in 2 weeks.,..wtf is going on!

I eat Tuna with low fat mayo
low fat cheese strings
crackers with my tuna
skinless boneless chicken
and chicken lunch meat which is low in sodium and fat free

Any suggestions?   Please tell me I am not alone here

Hey Hon!

drop the carbs completely for now. make sure ur drinking at least 64 oz of water per day and walking or light excersizing at least 4x a week.  it's a plateau... totally normal.  everyone has them several times throughout this journey and th 1st one always freaks you out.  keep breathing. ur doing fine honey!

TMI question ...did you start your period or is it about to start? I always gain and then drop the same 2-3 pounds around/during my period.

Like the other 2 people said ..drop the crackers! My surgeon doesn't even allow that stuff for 4 months.  It's a total waste of calories, protein is your focus!

I would drop the carbs.   You should really only be eating about 5 carbs per meal with the RNY (I think that is what I read).   In my first 6 months after surgery I kept my carbs super low - I wanted to eat the tuna on crackers but ate it on a slice of cheese instead.   I also think your monthly friend might have something to do with it too.   Don't get discouraged - just keep chugging along - you will start loosing again soon.

I experienced the same thing....I didn't lose anything for two weeks..I too was eating crackers...I dropped the crackers....I do have one piece of bread every couple of days. I eat sugar free carb controlled bread by Arnolds. I know its hard to eat tuna plain.....I eat a lot of chicken. Another favorite meal of mine is stuffed peppers...they can last for several meals.
I know its really hard but try and drop the crackers :-)
