5 Day Pouch Test

Hey Gang!

So here is my dilemma. I am a little over 4 years out from my wonderful surgery.  Down from around 400 lbs I am currently at 237.   On November 1st I weight around 245 and got serious about loosing my last stretch.  I hired a trainer and started to learn what to really do when I'm at the gym.  Not the amazing weight loss results that I was used to from a couple years ago, but I also wasn't really eating "right" until about three weeks ago.  I went straight low carb, the old school Atkins style.  And I have to say, it is really hard! It isn't the cravings it is forcing myself to eat.  I make sure to get extra veggies, take fiber pills, etc. But there are days where I HATE to eat.  Also I really feel like when I do eat, I can physically eat too much.  So I was thinking of taking a short brake from the low carb and doing the 5 day Pouch Test.

Has anyone tried it? Is it as good as they say? Any other suggestions? I can keep the low carb thing going, it is just frustrating bc I don't have the high energy levels I am used to and the lack of interest in food is making me grumpy!

I am open to suggestions!

I haven't tried but want to. I keep saying I'll start it on a Monday. I really gotta plan it better ..like a week I can avoid cooking. The liquid diet part of it scares me LOL! Maybe those who want to try it .....we could all (or some of us) pick a week and do it together??

I just tried it - on Day 4.  The first two days were a great reminder of where I (we all) started.   It is hard to stay on track . . . perhaps I'll join you on Monday again too.

Tiramisu and margaritas messed me up yesterday!

I lost a lot of water weight.  The cravings are better but PMS also ended . . . .
