Small in an XL world

I am very grateful for my results. from wearing size 44 waist to now size 27 waist or 18 in boys.

But as I go shopping for new clothes it is hard to find inexpensive clothes my size even thermals during  this freezing winter. There is super nice fanzy label clothesthat I couldn't wear before and now can but I only treat myself to those labels once in a while. They are just to expensive and for now I am on a fix income I can't see myself spending so much money on jeans or t-shirt.

But regular stores like walmart, khols, even my favorite Target don't carry small sizes or pants waist size smaller than a 29. I don't get it.. I know there are plenty of skinny *****es shopping my same size where do they go.. I have had to resort to kids departments but sometimes they just don't fit right.

My friends make fun of me and say "I wish I had your problems" I feel silly saying these things but they are real issue's that I have never had to deal with before.

Like I said I am very grateful for my results and when I do find something that fits it looks absolutely fabulous on me..  this has just been another eye opener on something that I did not for see. luckily I do know how to sew and I am able to alter my clothes.
I just went from one extreme to another.. I enjoy this extreme alot better.. once I get rid of this extra skin I guess I could just go naked once it warms up again.

Ha! I love your problem, I ma having it too! I was in a 50 boys waist (yes, I'm a typical butch wearing boys clothes...) and now I'm in a 29. And I'm short, so I totally have to shop in the little boys section...

I actually have found some great luck in thrift stores. I never used to be able to shop in thrift stores when I was fat. I couldn't find fat people clothes there. Now, not only do I fit in stuff, everything is cheap - which served really well when I knew I was still losing weight. I still may losa a few more pounds, but I think I've landed size-wise...

Good luck shopping! It is hell of fun trying on things that never would have fit before, and I bet you look fabulous in everything! Ali

Three cheers fo thrift stores!!!!!! They are in most communities, often you are helping out others that are less fortunate by shopping there and always you are saving tons of money.  And then there is the green angle of reduce re-use recycle.  So no matter how you look at it. Thrift stores, discount depots, salvage and surplus are all a great idea for those of us that have to reinvent our wardrobe several times, or just for fun. It started out for me several years ago as a necessity, now I think of it as a game or hobby. Myself and my partner have many outfits with designer labels that cost us very, very little. We often find them with the labels still on.
Also many Bariatric Centers, ours included, have periodic clothing exchanges where you can take the larger clothes and exchange them for a smaller size or just donate the no longer needed ones. I just dropped off six trash bags full of gently-used clothing last month. Happy shopping everyone!!!!

Alfonso....I have the same prob, no one local sells smaller than a 4....in boys I am 27 waist but about 32 in length. I found a women's speciality store that works for me...they carry cool jeans in size 1 that is just about perfect for me.

I have also done thrift stores and when one of the children's second hand stores was going out I got some great boys/teen jackets for $1!!

So best of luck to you!
