HELP PLEASE....! Totally Freaking Out!
I gain 2-4 lbs. every month around my period. If it isn't that than when was the last time you went #2 (don't need to answer that ...just keep it in the back of your mind LOL). But I would totally not go by those numbers RIGHT now. It's almost impossible to gain 4lbs in a day. Just look at everything you've done from today vs. yesterday.
I have been bumming for a couple of weeks too bud. Doing everything by the book, body bugg makes me account for cals in and cals burned etc... but I still stayed the same for the past 2 weeks. Sometimes it is body measurement changes that don't show on the scale and sodium intake can mess up the numbers too.... I completely understand getting defeated by the numbers and it isn't good for me to look at them much. I have gotten so anal I weigh myself on Saturday mornings in the nude!! LOL
Hang in there. It really is almost impossible to gain that weight in a day. Check the sodium intake of your food. Hang in there!!

Ladies,
Thanks so much for the encouragement. I made homemade lentil soup with ham (a little high on the sodium list but not extremely salty) and I had a two bowls of it because it was so good! Perhaps I'm retaining water because of that and also because I am due to get my period sometime this week.
I know I need to STOP obsessing about the scale and the numbers. I'm trying to weigh on Friday mornings only but I don't always stick to it. Tomorrow I have my yearly physical with my physician and I was hoping to be at my lowest weight to date. It looks like I'll be up 1 or 2 lbs but I guess I'd better not stress over that too much.
Thanks again for your help!

I get the same way every time my scale goes up....I'm 4 months out and if my scale goes up even a pound, I'm flippin out! But, I usually am back down within a day or 2. I need to learn to not obsess over the scale too, cause I know that my weight will go up and down often.......
Ham and lentil soup huh?????...Sounds yummy!!!

I'm trying to work on the freaking out part myself. I'm only about 4-5 months post-op, but my body just likes to stall on me frequently. Everytime I've hit a stall (in my third week of one right now) I freak out. It's hard to not feel like the only WLS failure out there. ...but I don't think we are. Just our quirky bodies doin' their thing.
93 lbs is awesome!!!!! No freaking out allowed!!!!!

No Freaking Out Allowed! I'll try my hardest not to.... Like you, I've been dealing with a lot of stalls, too. It seems they last anywhere from a 3-6 weeks and while I don't lose any weight, thankfully I don't gain either. I float .5 of a pound back and forth and it drives me crazy.
About the "fear of failure" thing.... I'm so terrified of failing at this. I had my yearly physical exam yesterday with my GP, and it's the first time in 20+ years that I haven't been petrified to get on the scale. His first words to me were "Look at the new you! You look amazing!" He is so thrilled with my progress and assured me I am doing wonderfully.
You hang in there, too! We as members of the "Quirky Bodies Society" are gonna make it! ;)
