*raising hand in ayer* LOL

Umm...I'm having hemorrhoids repaired/removed ..whatever they do in January. That would be a result from constipation and now it's just gotten pretty bad.

I'm having issues with my lower back/sciatic nerve issues too. Next week I go in for a steroid injection ..we'll see what goes on after that. It's been a year since I've had the pains and they literally started when I stopped losing the weight. Everyone kept saying "ohh it's just your body adjusting to a new skinny body". Well a year later and I'm done with it all!

It's been two years and I haven't had a problem. My partner had to have her gallbladder removed. But from the condition of it,  it had been getting bad for a long time but didn't act up until after the surgery.

None so far.  My PCP questioned blood in my stool this week so working on sorting out if it real (e.g. ulcer) or secondary to the iron supplementation.

I had my gallblader out in 2001 7 years before my RNY surgery, so i did not have the issues that people that lose large amounts of weight with a gallblader.

That would be the number one issue that would require additional surgery, I think...

Some doctors take it out at time of RNY, but most do not and take a "wait and see" approch.

Good luck.

None yet here.  I did have to have surgery on my toes because I am no longer a slug.  According to my podiatrist I've had hammer toes for a long time.  When I was a couch potato they didn't bother me.  Once I had surgery and started walking 2-3 miles a day, they were killing me.  I had surgery on November 20 and am still off work.  The doctor said maybe I can go back on January 4.  It has been a painful surgery, but I think it will be worth it.  My roux en y was a breeze compared to this.

I had surgery 5 weeks ago and I am struggling with strictures now.  Not exactly under the knife, but I have been dilated twice and I can look forward to 1-4 more in the next two weeks.  Not fun, but not the worst.

Overall, still a great decision.  Including presurgery weight loss I am down 60 pounds today.
