new to this site
hi everyone...I am new to this site. I just had my surgery on Nov 9th, and had some minor complications so I am still on a liquid diet. Just having some growing pains I guess. I am very thankful I had the surgyer and I knew it would be difficult but did anyone ever get sick of yogurt or protein shakes??

Hi and welcome aboard! I swear if I had seen one more container of cottage cheese or yogurt during my liquid diet I would have screamed. After my lap band surgery I was scared to death to hurt something so it was a little easier for a bit. Hope you heal well with n o more complications. Great to hear from you!
Some are very sensive to lactose post op - Only 100 percent whey isloates with zero lacose is tolerate - blend with water or rice milk. Some proteinpowders contain lactase and other enzme that makes them eaiser to digest.
Youghurt - could alos be hard to tolerate if you have gotten lactose intelorance... Some get over it for a while if they very slowly introduce dairy products ...others may to add lactase or lactaid for a while.

Hello and welcome!
I was totally sick of liquids at two weeks out and I still can't drink protein shakes!
