some good news today
as of this morning, i've permanently released 66.7 lbs, down 4 sizes, and now according to BMI, i started as "super morbidly obese", then went thru "extremely obese" and as of today, i've dropped down to only "obese." that's pretty damn cool!
I feel great. sometimes i wish i would drop the lbs faster like some of my RNY pals, but then again i am working out with a personal trainer & building up muscle mass. i get it... my weight loss slowed down when i started with my trainer. but it's all good. if i can build up muscle mass while dropping fat weight, hopefully my skin will not go all shar-pei on me. my WLS support group had a plastic surgeon come in recently to talk to us. ya... expensivo! boobs, mid section, thighs, and arms... all of it would cost about $40k. um... ya... no thanks!

Well not all bypass people lose real fast I've only lost 23# in the 4 weeks since surgery, but hey I'm happy especially if this keeps up! As to the plastic surgery most insurance company's will cover allot of the cost especially if there are skin issues but is also good to be working out as you are as it will give the surgeon something to work with besides bone and weak mussels LOL. Keep up the good work You are defiantly a loser LOL
66.7 pounds is HUGE!!! Everyone loses at different rates and working out is soooo much better for you than losing it fast!!!! Remember this is a lifestyle change not a race! As long as you are creating good habits that will last you for the rest of your skinny life - that is the big win. Not how fast it happens. Though I have to admit every time the scaled slowed down for me, it was very frustrating. But then I rationalized that it was just my body giving my skin some catching up time. I was really bummed to miss out on the last meeting. My hubby is finally back so I will be at the next one, but REALLY wanted to hear about the plastic surgery component.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation! See you at the Dec meeting.
