How many marriage proposals have you gotten?
As a newbie here on OH - I find it quite surprising that I have already gotten 3 marriage proposals sent as PMs. I do find that very flattering - even though they are from women - I have never met. I am sorry to dissapoint them (Should Madonna however PM me - I will consider it a little longer ). I wonder how many marriage proposals you have gotten as PMs so far? And where they from someone of your preferred gender?

Yes they were the typical mail order bride scam PMs ... It's getting old!!!! If these people at least stepped into this millennium and started offering mail order grooms LOL
Sorry for those of you that have "missed out" and feel like uncool wall flowers now there is new man in town ...
And Don - prop 8 will be overturned - I am going to dance with joy the day my American friends have marriage equality. (We have had civil unions here since 1989 - and full equality on all levels and legislation to enforce and protect that equality. Sexual orientation is part of many laws and partners in civil unions have the exact same rights as married couples. A partner will always receive the same benefits a spouse would. I am so angry and often roll my eyes - when - I heard the words - land of the free and home of the brave. Influential religious groups play way too big a part of American politics - what the H... happened to separation of Church and State? I am so happy that the Hate Crime Bill has been signed and I hope ENDA and DADT will be next and not least DOMA. Obama promised Change ... the time is now! No more waiting - time to act!
Ensuring good health care for every citizen is also one of the things I wish for my American friends. Every American pay twice as much for healthcare pr capita - than we do over here. And Insurance companies are not making decisions - doctors are! The American health care system is very ineffective and expensive - it is a travesty and tradgedy to see the sufferings of a system that thinks more about money than human dignity and solidarity - with those less fortunate. Health care for all and free college education will make America a much better place to live and empower the people - I can't be the only one dreaming about this??? And today news broke that USA and china are not going to sign a binding agreement during the Copenhagen Climate summit next month. Why now put effort into making more cost effective and less poluting cars and renewal energy sources. We have do that for the last 25 years and the knowhow and skills in this area is going to benefit all of us. Well I better end my rant - but whatever happened "to change you can believe in" and "yes we can"? My bubble has already burst - actions speak louder than words and patience is not one of my best virtues .... Just my 2 cents as a foreign observer.
