1 year Surgiversary

Hi everyone!  Just posting to let everyone know that as of today I'm celebrating my 1 year surgiversary!

The last year has been fantastic, and the ways my life have changed are beyond anything I could have imagined.  I've lost 162 pounds since the surgery, putting my total weight loss at 228 pounds.  I've worked on my fears and insecurities, and I have to say I'm a more confident person all around, now.  I've spent 3 days a week in the gym for the past 10 months and my body has changed in ways I didn't think it was capable of, not just losing weight but actually starting to gain a shape.

The other day I was walking down the street when I caught a glimpse of myself in the glass of a building and it suddenly hit me: today, right now, I am in the best shape of my life, physically and mentally.  I was suddenly so overcome with a white hot joy that I nearly broke down and started crying on the street.

Thanks to all of you who helped me get here, and I wish the same success and happiness to each of you.

Congrats Don. I am in awe of your achievement and your succes I wish you courage and strength to continue your journey - becoming the best you can be.
