6 months out - new pictures!

Hi everyone,

I posted some new pics today.

My 6 months surgiverary was Oct 27, 2009.

Since then i have lost 105 lbs, lost 16 inches in my waist and feel like a new person.

My brother and parents saw me this weekend and were shocked when they saw me.

They told me I was to thin and my brother said I looked like i had wasting syndrome.

I am going to ignore him - I hope he was kidding although he did call me Karen Carpenter.

I do have an eating disorder still, I am scared to eat much as I do get sick or naseaus often when I eat.

I did manage to go out to eat 3 times with family and keep food down so it is definitely getting better.

I have so much more confidence now and just feel so much better.

This board really supported me thru my journey and if anyone is considering having RNY, I would recommend it in a second.

I know it sounds strange, but I get all weirdly proud of the folks who've gone through the surgery after me on the board...

Wow Kevin, you look great.  What an impressive 6 month loss!!!  Glad to hear eating is somewhat improved.

Congrats on your weight loss. You look wonderful, and i bet you feel much better.

I am hoping to loose about 120 pounds or so. So at your current weight loss, do you have much hanging skin?

Thanks David, I don't have as much as I thought I would as I exercise a lot and used to be in really good shape before I gained all the weight in the first place.

Fortunately my insurance from my job covers skin removal up to 20k so I am going to a plastic surgeon next week for a consultation and to see how long I need to wait.

My biggest area is my stomach and I know I will need a tummy tuck. Everything else is toning up quickly thankfully.

You are handsome Kevin!  Congrats on your journey so far.

Sorry to hear of your struggle with your eating disorder - I battled 21  years  (14-35 yo****il I found peace and stopped the battle with food and my body. I hope you will improve too.

I would say that you look great, but I've always thought that you've looked great.  Keep it up.
