Fainting

I am 14 months out and have had 2 fainting spells.  The last one...I was riding in the car and felt like I had a big gas bubble in my stomach.  Then I felt the sick and hot and clamy.  I told my partner that I was going to pass out.  She said that I fell forward then back in the seat, raised both of my hands and my eyes rolled back in my head.  I must have only been out a minute or two.  I had a headache afterwards but was fine in about 5  minutes.  Lost my job and insurance about 2 months ago so can't really go to the doctor.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Find Aaron's post about Hypoglycemia.

That would be my guess. The same thing has happened to me and I was told it was Hypoglycemia. And after reading Aaron's post ...it sounds pretty popular after having WLS.

I had the same thing, but it was dehydration for me. I worked out so much, my electrolytes couldn't keep up. If your an athlete that could be it too...
I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!

Thank you all for  your advice.  I am going to see about getting a diabetic meter from a friend to check my blood sugar for awhile and I have a blood pressure meter.  I will keep a check on both and see if I can tell anything.  Just kind of scary when you aren't expecting to fall out.

Hi there!  if it is indeed your sugar bottoming out, make sure to keep some sort of portable dairy or some bear naked granola around.  There's natural sugars in dairy products (like 2% cheese or even a glass of milk) as well as the granola (mainly honey and complex carbs from the whole grain).  it takes longer for the sugar levels to come up but they will eventually.  I also still have a bit of an issue with gas.  Gas build up gives me heart palpitations which can make you clammy and give an instant rise in blood pressure.
