Well, I am exactly 15 days out and I have been hungry and want to eat everything!  I had my 2 week post-op on Oct 5th and I lost 20 pounds in 11 days.  Which is amazing EXCEPT when I get on my scale everyday its going up!!!  I'm walking, I'm sticking to my pureed diet (pretty much) and I feel good.  There is a definate difference in my clothes, etc.  BUT the scale is seriously bringing me down :(  Has anyone had this happen?  Is it normal?  Is this not working for me?  Please get back to me.  thanks,  Jill

Jill... keep breathing!  it happens... quite normal.  I am about 6 wks out from my surgery and after about 3 wks post op I found myself on a plateau that pissed me off beyond all recognition!  for over 2 wks i only lost a net of 2 lbs.  Some days i'd go up a lb or two, some days flat.... it was horrible.  Here's the thing.... you're doing fine & this is very normal.  Everyone goes through a plateau on this journey despite all of the great efforts you make.  It's just that the body is freaking out thinking "hey, wait a minute, i'm supposed to be really fat... what is this person doing to me? I'm just gonna hold on to what i can."  Eventually (2 wks in my case) the body gives up and finally let's go of the weight.  Really!  It happens... a few times from what i hear.

You're doing fine.  Just do what you know you should be doing.  Walking when you can as you continue to build up your stamina, eat healthy purees, stick to as much protein as you can, completely limit your carbs (like down to none) and stay off the of the scale.  When your body is on a plateau, the scale is your enemy.  Only get on it no more than once a week.

Keep breathing!  You're doing fine!  Stay positive & you'll get through this!

I know my scale is the biggest jokester that ever happened. If I tell myself I want to be a certain weight by any given amount of time it will most certainly just not move anywhere or go up. It's very annoying. The more I stress over my weight, the less likely I am to lose weight. But then when I kind of let go it starts coming off.

You're doing fine darlin. Don't sweat it. You got dis :)

I swear I've hit like 3 stalls so far and I'm only 2 months out.  I stopped getting on the scale every day.  It was seriously messing with my head.  I'm still a little disappointed in my post surgery rate of weight loss, but I feel confident that it will continue to go down.  Everybody says it's normal...so I'm trying to go with the flow here and just accept the advice of those who have gone before me.

Hang in there and don't let that ******g scale get you down!  You're doing great.  The weight has got to come off - you're like, seriously, eating only a tiny amount of food.

Omg!  That's EXACTLY how I feel.  I keep thinking this was a dud (for me)  But, I tell myself the same thing, this HAS to work, I mean, HELLOOOO I barely eat anything!  I mean, I definately feel smaller but, I guess I'm just expecting huge results too fast.  I, also, stopped getting on that damn scale.  It's bull**** never moves!  I'm just going to go with the flow like you said.  Thanks for the words-of-wisdom.  I appreciate it soooo much!  Oh, one more question..... do you feel like you can eat anything?  Do you crave evrything?  I feel more obsessed with food then EVER!  I'm hoping its because of the boring, awful choices we have post-op.  I just feel like I'm the only one and I'm going to fail :(  well, thanks again for listening.

I don't feel that way so much anymore (about the food cravings), but when I was home - after the first week or so, I definitely felt that way.  I really think it was because I was watching way too much TV and the food commercials were horrible for me - I felt like I wanted everything anybody on TV was eating.  Not because I was hungry - I just wanted the sensation of eating and tasing all the food that I saw.  Definitely got better for me when I went back to work.

I thought the same thing - that I would be the only weight loss surgery failure in the world.  I still have some lingering thoughts like that when the scale doesn't move the way I think it should, or as much as it is for other folks.

You are definitely not alone on this one!!!!
