**Update**  I've cooled down since posting this so I'm gonna say sorry for the explitives but, I'm not gonna edit the post because it is, with or without the anger, valid. 


Bear411.com is some Bullsh*t

F*cking denied, I'm pissed.  Who the hell are the people that run a site that denies your profile but does not tell you why?  I used a good pic,  I followed thier rules about what you could and could not put in the text of the profile.  Do I have to actually go live in the wilderness for them to approve me for Bear411??  I get so sick of this elitest subculture clique crap that the gay community does to itself.  I have hair all over me and a 38 inch waist you think Twink411.com is gonna take me??  Or maybe Jock411 is right for me and my man boobs.  Ridiculous.  And last but not least they tell me to post a profile on some Gaydaddy.com site.  WTF?? Do I look like a F*cking DADDY??  You guys see my pic on here, I have a total babyface...I'm 30 and look 16,   Daddy?!?   Okay, I'm officially way to pissed off and just driving up the BP so I'm gonna stop.  Thanks for letting me blow off some steam.

The owner and moderator of the site has a long history of "hand-picking" who can be on his site, apparently according to his own sense of  what a "bear" is.

Unfair and discriminatory, yes. Illegal, maybe.....
but there are other sites you could try that are far more welcoming.

Wow, Red that's some good info, I'm gonna be checking all of those sites out, thanks.  I do wonder if it's illegal.  You know, I believe eHarmony got sued for not allowing gay/lesbian people on thier site and if I'm not mistaken I believe they lost in court and had to start allowing same sex on thier site.

Good point, Lane.....eHarmony was being discriminatory and it sure does seem this site is doing the same damn thing!!!!

Your not the first person to come accross saying that.. i've heard it before.. Apparently the owner of bear 411 is selective.. ?? i dont understand this.. because i've seen WAY NOT BEARS on the site.. you strike me as more of a cub..  i dont see why when i've seen very TWINK LIKE guys on 411 how he can discriminate.. the last guy that i heard of that had this problem took a pic of someone he knew was Straight.. and used it to get onto 411.. and then changed the pic..after he was approved.. DONT SPREAD THAT..
Either way.. if you  want to. there IS a way around that..
the only other reason i can think of IS your baby face.. can you grow a stache? or gotee? i'm assuming not or you would have by now..  but it was my understanding that 411 was for bears AND their Admierers.. I'd write Greg and give him the What for.. thats just Not Kosher!!!!

all are bear friendly.. so if you can get on 411 try one of the other sites.. but i still say.. take a pic of a bear friend and use it to be approved and then change your photo.. if he's going to be an ASS you have every right to be one too..

Thanks Fuzzy.  And no, I can't grow but maybe five wiskers on my whole face. It's not shy about popping up elsewhere just not on the face.  I appreciate the creative work around but I think I'll go where I'm wanted and try some of the sites you and Red mentioned as soon as I get some time to check 'em out and create the profile and all that jazz.  I'm glad to know there are guys like you and Red out there still.  Thanks again.

I can see why you would be pissed.   Seems a bit ridiculous to me.  I tend to no longer put myself on any sort of dating sites anymore due to the ridicule and BS I get from people because I am bi (yeah, I was bi WAY before Katy Perry's stupid song...thank you very much).  Unfortunately there is just as much prejudice in the GLBTIQ culture as there is with straight culture.  You would think that there wouldn't be, but I guess some people haven't evolved.  I'm hoping you find someone who loves you for you. 

definitely bearciti is a good place.  I left bear411 a LONG time ago after I was banned from there for displaying a link....IN A PRIVATE MESSAGE to my bigger city profile.  I left and never looked back.
