Hi! i'm new here!
I'm Carissa! and i'm so happy i found this site, its amazing seeing the different people and what they're going through before and after surgery. i'm waiting for my 6 months for insurance to be up in December, and send in my all of my paper work. I'm hoping and praying for the surgery to be in last January or Early February. I'm just looking to meet some new support friends and also help support back :)
welcome Carissa & congrats on taking this step in your journey. this is a great place to come to for support and connecting with people who are going through the same journey. It's not an easy journey, but one that is HUGELY rewarding and the biggest thing to remember is that you're worth this journey!
It also helped me cause I had to be hospitalized 3 months later (non surgery related) but we didn't know that until after being in for 24 hours. I had a esophageal web, that was fun! Then I had two strictures, and my gall bladder out. Insurance paid for all of it since I hit my max out of pocket in Jan!

The blockages weren't painful at all. Just inconvienient. The GB was painful. The first attack I had I thought I was going to die. I am thrilled with the fact that I had surgery even with that first year being the sickest year of my life.
