My mom had the rny and she has stopped losing weight. she also does eat the wrong things though. the only advice i could give is, you have to think about what you did. all of the steps you went through to get this far! you have come a long way. you dont want to gain any of that weight back. just keep working at it, you can do this!

I agree with Carissa -- it's NEVER too late! If your surgeon offers support groups you could try going to them. Try not to fall into our old way of thinking -- you know -- "well, I've screwed up so I might as well give up and stuff myself." Take it one meal at a time and get back on track. Everyone here is pulling for you.

You had surgery the day after I did....and I, too, have almost stopped losing weight according to the scale...what I do notice though is that my clothes are looser and I'm still changing sizes...so I must be doing something...Is it the same for you? I find it much easier now to eat whatever I want and have to really be aware of my diet....every minute of every day....I don't dump on anything and it's so easy to fall back into old habits....just remember...we didn't come this far to screw up now!!!

hi ,i was lapbanded .... and i guess i have just fallen back in to old habits ..but couse it is so easy to swollow all the bad foods for me like cookies and milk so instead of trying to eat the right stuff i skip to the cookies and milk ...but im gonna try and go back to basics and get back to gym starting today! wish me luck ...thanks again

1) it is just a tool and you have to work it...

2) If you had RNY you can do the 5 day pouch test

3) If you get back on track you can work it....get your focus off of the food and on your program, find other things to do.

I have friends who have been successful with WLS some who have gained weight back...but they are doing carbs and not focusing on following the guidelines....But they have taught me lessons too....like the importance of doing what I am supposed to do...
