Wii Fit Update

I mentioned to my buddy Peter that I wanted to get a wii fit and he was like, I have one and don't use it and offered to let me use his. Well, this thing is pretty interesting.

I'm not quite sure what to think about it's weight estimate but on the 16th I weighed 300 pounds even and when I got on the Wii Fit board today it placed me at 287. I have read on several sites that it is "surprisingly accurate."

I have two theories for this:

1) The scale I used on the 16th at the dialysis center was wrong. Considering it only needs to reflect weight changes and not actual weight it could be wrong. And no I'm not on dialysis, I was bringing a patient there.

2) The Wii Fit board is wrong without explanation. I did change the batteries and I am on the preferred hardwood floor. We'll see when I go to the surgeon's office on Thursday.

Anyway, in any case, it's a great little device. It actually made me jog in place for like 4 minutes and I actually did it. I'm quite happy with that result.

So, more to come after the appointment with the surgeon.

Kevin, My Wii Fit is pretty accurate. I wonder if the surface it is on may cause a misread. I hope your lower reading is the right one. Don't you love it when it tells you that you are obese?! lol. -- Tom

Yeah, My buddy Peter warned me about that and that it would make an "obese noise.' I found that amusing. I really hope it doesn't tell me I'm obese every time I get on it. I really do get that picture.

Were you in your uniform when you weighed in at the dialysis center? Isn't that like big boots, 2 shirts and pants with all your gear stuff too??? I know my wife wears a lot to work as a medic and her boots are really heavy!!! My Wii Fit is very close and I now put that my clothes weigh nothing instead of 2 or less because it was messing with my numbers!!!

Yeah I was wearing the uniform. I don't think my uniform weighs like 12 pounds but the boots are definitely heavy. So that probably makes up for a lot of the difference. Thanks for the heads up.
