Nearly 12 weeks out...
Had my surgery on 6/30 and have been doing great since then. Down more than 70 pounds and can't believe the changes it brings! I have more energy than before, am much more active, and just feel better. This was one of the best decisions I ever made.
My biggest WOW moments:
1) Was traveling to AZ last week and couldn't believe how roomy the airplane seat was!
2) Was driving the other day and needed to bring my seat closer to the wheel!
I hope there are more to come. I decided that three months out I would get rid of clothes that no longer fit, but I had no idea that so many clothes would have to be tossed!! Thank God for the JC Penny outlet in Columbus, OH or I would go broke buying new clothes!
I just wanted to let everyone know that your posts and encouragement of each other is very inspirational to me. Now that I am getting to more than 3 months out I am a little nervous about what to expect and what changes will continue to develop, but I am mostly excited!
Those were some of my WoW moments too! Some of the others are a little more superficial like looks on the street and repeat hook-ups with those that were once "out of my league".
I wish I could say I have more energy but it doesn't feel that way. I do a lot more work at the gym now though and it is not hard to work out. I can feel the results of the workout on my body. Before when I worked out, I couldn't tell any difference because it was under a thick blanket of fat. Now that the blanket is thinner, I can feel the muscles and the results of exercise. That is quite an encouragement in itself. The dumping experience has not been too harsh either and I am able to eat 99 percent of the variety of foods I ate before surgery. That has been a surprise.
