Four and a half months out - What do you eat?
Hey everyone, I have not been on here in a while. I hope everyone is doing well
I am 4 1/2 months out having had my RNY on 4/27.
I got on the scale this morning and could not believe I finally was under 200 lbs. I weighed 199. I started at 292 so this is a miracle to me.
I am only about 25 lbs from my goal weight which is amazing in less than 5 months.
I feel great, I have gone down 10 or 11 inches in my waist and look much better.
I get compliments all the time and it really does feel good. I have posted a picture from a few weeks ago if you are interested.
Until about a month ago I was having a big problem getting food down with out getitng sick. That has subsided a bit and I realize I must eat to continue with my weight loss.
I hate to cook and am really bad at it. I actually don't really know how to.
I decided to try to cook some salmon and started a mini fire in my oven tonight.
If anyone has any quick and easy recipes that they could share with me I would really appreciate it. I am tired of eating yogurt and string cheese and thats pretty much all I have eaten successfully.
Have a good evening.
Kevin

I'm also a crappy cook, so this product was a God send for me:

This oven lets you cook almost any meat in very little time without risking burning or overcooking, and most every piece I've made in it has come out perfectly for me post RNY.
A lot of people in my hospital's support group use this oven and we all swear by it. I bought it just after my surgery and MAN did it improve my life.
I do not receive kickbacks or comissions from the company that makes it.

Sheesh, has it been 4 1/2 months already? Wow, time sure does fly.
Congrats on getting below the 200 pound mark. I remember the feeling. Those were the most exciting days of my life; everyday was a new adventure. So be sure to enjoy it all.
I love string cheese and could eat it everyday. But that's me.
Keep on chugging along...
Cheers,
Chris

I like using my crock pot. You can't really go wrong with it or burn things. If it says to cook on low for 6 hours that is what you do. Plus the meat turns out really moist and easier for me to eat ..and whatever is left over you could probably put in freezer containers and freeze it for future meals!
