I've got my surgery date!!!!

At last I have a date!  September 28th!  It's really been quite easy all of the pre auth stuff.  My Insurance approved the surgery and I have had all of the preop testing and evaluations.  I still have to schedule my preop clearance with my Primary Care, which should be around September 17th.

I'm already starting the protein shakes and cleansing of my fatty liver and I've lost 15 lbs over the past several months just eating better and smaller more frequent meals. 

I can't believe I'm really going to do this!  My health is important to me so I can be around for my other half for many more years.  All of my family is obese, and the genetic pool I've been given is subject to heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes.   I have diabetes, hypertension, GERD, and bad vericose veins.  Just like everyone else in my family.

I have to change... I want to Live!

September 28th ... what a big day for both of us, eh? I am nervous, worried, scared, excited, happy and relieved all at the same time.    YIKES!!!! How are you doing???

CONGRATS on getting your date.  I know what you are going through.  I have my date for the 17th.  I'm so excited but also nervous at the same time.

Congratulations!!!!  Sounds like you're doing great.  The hardest part for me was the waiting for and anxiety about the surgery.  It actually became a whole lot easier for me once the surgery part was out of the way.  ...and the whole surgery experience was a whole lot easier than I thought it would be.  Good Luck!
