This time next week I'll be in surgery, or maybe in recovery. I can't believe my surgery date is so close....It seemed like for awhile it wasn't going to happen at all. I'm ready...but I'm nervous and a bit scared. I'm taking this next week to get my house in order, and visit a few friends. Plus it's fair week, so I'm hoping to go. That will keep my mind off the surgery...I hope!

Our thoughts and good vibes are coming your way, Lisa!
Last night I went to a support group and there were a lot of post-ops there - with amazing stories of success and true life changes. It was inspiring. Soon you will be on the "loser's bench, too!
I'm awaiting my date. Probably within the next 3-4 weeks. Save some room on the bench for me - all the best, Jim

Wow! Time has gone fast but I remember how long you have waited. It will go smoothly I am sure. Now have fun at the Randolph Fair and eat fair food! Brett did that before his surgery d his "last meal". LOL -- Tom

Good luck and get ready for the pounds to fly off.  I am 8 months out today and have lost 92 pounds.  It was well worth it.  I am so pleased with the results.

Thanks everyone...I'm trying to stay busy for the next few days. I'm so ready for the losers bench..lol I have lost 16 pounds on my Optifast, and 33 pounds altogether with the dieting I did prior to Optifast. I have a great head start already...

It still amazes me every day that this is really happening. It really hasn't hit me as much as I thought it would. I think that will happen once I get to the hospital...or when they are taking me into the operating room. Then I'm most likely gonna freak out...lol

I'm so glad your almost there!  The surgery itself will be over before you know it!  The hard part is the time leading up to it.

I'll be thinking about you and sending positive, healing thoughts your way.
