MAN-O-PAUSE!!!

After a delay of several months and lots and lots and lots of tests and delaying surgery forever, the verdict is in: I have male menopause or "andropause." This explains the hot flashes and rise in temp every day without fail since March! Until now the docs have chased after so many dead ends: you have tuberculosis, no wait, lymphoma, um, Lyme disease? So much time wasted; so much money spent.

Anyway, the GOOD news is that I am back on track for surgery - possibly within the next 4 weeks (no date yet - awaiting final OK from insurance).

Suddenly I'm getting really NERVOUS! And at the same time: YAY !

 Holy crap!  I'd heard of male menopause, but never in such detail.  Better this than the other diagnoses they thought it might be.  This will pass and hopefully there won't be a line of bodies in the wayside (she says speaking from experience...).  Yikes.  I'm so glad things are opening up for a surgery date.  It is scary and exciting at the same time.  You'll think time is passing so slow but then it'll be time to have the surgery and things will go into hypermode.  And then, you life will change forever.  It's the most amazing journey you'll ever go on.
