Bah! Vegas.
So I spent the weekend in Vegas. A tip to other WLS folks - plan better than I did or be better prepared to throw away gobs of food. It seemed impossible to find a healthy choices or reasonable portions, and without a fridge in my room I couldn't bring home leftovers. Wasted a TON of money and food. Bah.
Just thought I'd warn you! If you're going to sin city, plan accordingly - it's definitely not WLS friendly.

Don,
So true! Brett and I are big Vegas fans and visit at least once a year. It's hard to find small portions. Plus, with the casinos really playing up these celebrity chefs, the food is costly. We look for food courts where you can find some cafeteria type items. The Venetian has a nice one off the casino. The small one in Caesars across from Bette's theater is good. We mostly order a normal meal and like you said, toss a lot. We are out of town and can't take it home. We love the Cafe Grand Lux in the Venetian or Pallazo. The portions are huge. We could split but the reality is we like different things. So, after picking out most of the protein, a lot goes to the garbage.
