Is too busy to post a good thing?

Hi Group,

Sean's post made me realize that I seldom post any more. I try to respond when to posts when I get some spare time at lunch on in the evening. This group is real important to my recovery. I've met so many nice people and keep up with several every day on FaceBook.  In September my partner of 20 years and I are getting married. I am happy that some of my OH GLBT friend will be with us.

I posted with this topic because I realize that my new life keeps me pretty active. Over the past month I've developed a love of bicycling. I've been on several longer rides with friends. I try to ride 5 miles every night when I can. The weather is great and I find myself outdoors more. I would never have done this prior to surgery. So, surgery gave me a new perspective on staying active. I think being active depends on finding something that you really enjoy doing.

Weight loss-wise, I'll kind of slowing to a snail's pace. I lost 2 pounds last month. I seem to battle the same 2 pounds on the scale each week. It's good to see it moving, even as slow as it has.  If I lose more, it's a bonus. I just know I don't want to go back to where I was.

Take Care!
Tom

Thanks, Tony! Yeah 20 years passed fast. Manslaughter free... lol. I like that. Now I am known to throw objects when in heated "discussion". And Brett has dodged injury over the past 20 years.

Too busy to post is a damn good reason to not post!!! I saw Aaron's FB post about the wedding, and I asked him you guys needed a photographer!!

Good job on the cycling. I just got a bike myself and trying to look for safe places to ride - we live on a state highway.

Brooke,
I did not know you were a photographer and were close to P'town. I was looking for a photographer for a long time. We signed a contract a month ago.

Well I am ...but I'm not close to Ptown but hear all about it ALL the time. I guess it's the gay/lesbian vacation destination. My partner says we are like 4 hours away drive time.

I didn't know you were getting married till Aaron posted it on FB. But Congrats ...sooo exciting!!!

You can add me to FB if you want ..I think you might be one of the few I don't have from here. My name is "Brooke Is Shrinking" ...lol

Brooke, Go to www.traillink.org It is the site for rails to trails, abandoned rail lines converted to bike trails. These are the best since they are flat and all we have been on are nicely restored. There must be many of these in MA. It is a sasfe ride. Tom

First of all......congrats on your upcoming nuptuals. Hope you 2 have many, many years of happiness.
I also have just recently began cycling on a real (not stationary) bike for the first time in many years....and I also hope to start to shake things up in my weight loss as, like you, I have really been struggling lately with a 2 pound battle up & down. Should have done WLS a long time ago!!!
