The Long and Winding Road
Hi Friends,
It's been awhile. I've been in limbo for several months. Doc said no surgery because I have been running a low grade fever (since March!) I've had every test imaginable - and all say I'm healthy. One more blood test - testosterone. I may have "male menopause!"
Now it looks like surgery could be possible before the end of September. I am so psyched!
Doc's dietician has put me on a liquid diet for two weeks. Anyone else done this; survival tips?

Honestly? Just survive it. It was really hard for me. One of the things I did though was get rid of all the food in the house that I could and I tried to avoid going to places where I knew there was a lot of fast food around. (I still find myself doing that actually) This is when you'll find out how much you miss chewing LOL
One thing that did make me feel a little better though was finding new protein shake recipies - particularly ones that I could put ice in and turn into a frozen shake. I'd make them so thick I could use a spoon so it felt like I was having real food. Oh, and I had a TON of tomatoe soup. I couldn't stand it before, but when in Rome...
Good luck sweetie! I know you'll do great!
