Long time lurker first time poster

Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking for the past 7 weeks since I had my RNY surgery and decided to finally say HI. All of you ....without you even knowing it have helped me and im sure countlesss other lurkers out there.

My partner just had a revision done from VBG to RNY a few weeks ago. I am so blessed to have that support in my life and I now can understand what she has been thru in the past and going thru now.

I am I guess considered a lightweight since I did not qualify on my BMI but I had several co-mobidities and a metabolic disorder that forced me to have this type of surgery. Its been a lifesaving experience for me and I am looking forward to my new life.

I have lost 37 lbs and I am at the typical 6 week stall.......grrrrrrr. Its been hard to eat as much as I should and get all tha****er in LOL.

I look forward to getting to know you all better !!!

Lightweight or not, the surgery is a fantastic tool and great opportunity to take your life by the reins and steer it in the direction you want it to go.  Sounds like you're making a great start of it!  Glad you posted, always glad to have someone else to chat with on here. :-)

Hi and welcome.  My wife and I had RNY about 5 years ago.  I don't think either one of us would have been as successful as we've been if we hadn't done it together.  Good luck.
