Hi I am new out here....I am considering the surgery....a lil about me I am a lesbian mom of 2 daughters ages 11 and 4, I also have 3 stepsons ages 15, 18, 20 and have a beautiful granddaughter who was born on 6-3-09.  So bein at my weight of 351 I want to lose weight and better my health.  My weight has caused alot of health problems, I have high blood pressure, diabetis, sleep apnea, hypnopia, copd, asthma etc...on top of that I lost my thyroid to thyroid cancer so medically im a wreck....im lookin to make some friends and get some help from people who understand what im going thru...

Welcome! My story and yours have quite a few similarities. I too wanted to better my health since  I have a wonderful grandaughter.  She is my pride and joy.

I hope you find better health through your journey! What surgery are you having? I had RNY which worked for me but everyone is different so you have to seek the right one for you. If you need an ear, dont hesitate to PM me.
