I've got my date!!!

Just got my surgery date - August 17!!!!   Ok... now I'm a little scared.  I know that this is what I really need to do and I want to do it.  Just a little scared of the surgery.  

I have to let all of you know that reading about your experience with this has been so extremely motivating and informative.  Thanks to all of you - I've learned so much from you.

Congrats to you!!!!!   I was so scared and the biggest baby, all a waste of time!!  They gave me a sedative and off to wonderland I went!!!

Thanks Ann and Mimi - yes, 8/17 is a most excellent date! 

A little fear before such a major surgery is extremely valid.. After all it is surgery and it should not be taken lightly by any means. I cant say it will all go away because there will be a little right up until you get released from the hospital.. But, keep in mind that if your battle has been nearly as long as the rest of ours the end will be worth every bit of fear, every oz. of effort you've gone through.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Nadine. You'll do wonderfully. Remember you have the absolute best surgeon in the world... and he's got dreamy eyes... even a lesbian could fall for.

Thanks Raven!  He is a good one!   He actually took my gall bladder out a couple of years ago! 

Oh....and....it was so cool to meet you!  What an ispiration - you look amazing!
