I'm new here!

I was wishing the other day that I would be able to find a LGBT group, but a forum works just as well.  I am 4 days from surgery and I can't wait to get it over with.  I live in the Grand Rapids, MI area with my partner of 9 years and our 4 legged son Kirby.   My partner needs to lose about 20-30 pounds unlike me who needs to lose 200.  I figure this is my first step of many in reaching my goals.  I look forward to chatting with others!

Welcome!!! I just had surgery on the 30th. I wouldn't change it for anything! I'm (so far) not depressed, not having too much trouble getting my protein in and haven't had any regrets since the start of my journey.

Hi. I am thrilled to find an LGBT forum as well. My surgery date was June 19, 2009. I'm down 4.7 lbs. I'm going through a down/frustrated time right now but finding this OH website has been a big help. welcome!!!

Welcome!  You'll enjoy this forum.  I have learned so much and felt supported (even virtually).  I am like you my partner could lose 20 lbs and I had more than 150 lbs to lose.  So far, I have lost 143 lbs in 10 months!
