Got a surgery date...can't believe it is going to happen...

well, my surgery will be on July 13th, which is also my birthday....I am excited and nervous as well. 
I have three lists going
What to take to the hosp
What to have stocked at home post op
A shopping list.



wow, looking for everyone's support.  will keep you posted.  Now for the low preop food plan.

I am determined and positive that this tool (VSG) will help me do what i could not do in the past.

That's awesome! My date is coming up next week and it's a surreal feeling, really. I should probably prepare better and do lists like you are. LOL 

What do you have on your list to take to the hospital? I really can't think of much except my iPod and maybe some clothes.

It was suggested to bring slip on shoes or slippers, pajamas, a comfortable robe, loose clothing for the ride home, toobrush, paste, reading material, pillow cd/dvd, gasx strips or chewable ( they don't have GasX in Mexico, and imodium just in case of diareahha.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will all be well worth it. The pre op diet is nothing.. EASY!!! You'll get through it. Nothing to worry about. Good luck and please keep up posted.

Congratz!!!!

Personally I wouldnt worry about books and DVDs in the hospital.... your spare time will be spent walking, and zoning out when you hit the pain button :-)

Chapstick is good to have, as is body spray... there were times where i thought I stunk to high heaven.   Get some of those disposible toothbrushes (the ones with the sponge that you mix with water... good stuff)

VERY loose pajama bottoms to put on once they take the cath out.

Just checkin in on ya, hope all went well and you are doing great after surgery. I wish you a speedy recovery as well as a Happy belated birthday (what a gift) a fresh start is always great and welcome to the losers bench!
