I start my classes tomorrow!

Tomorrow I start my 20 week classes with Kaiser for the bariatric surgery! I've been on the waiting list for these classes for the past 6 months and it's finally here!

Wow, that's a long time! I guess that's the benefit of being a self-pay VSG. I've got a single surgery prep class two days before surgery itself.

Yeah, it is a long time but know it will be worth it ;)

Congrats to you!!!  I took kaiser ssf classes!  I thought how stupid, I just want the surgery to lose the weight etc and boy am I glad I took the classes!!

That's VERY comprehensive but lordy I support that.  I'm grateful for all the education that Cedar Sinai put be through beforehand.

Yeah I think it's also a lot to have to do but I have faith that it will give me all the knowledge i'm going to need! ;)

I went to a 5 hr orientation at Kaiser, Richmond... and attend their support groups.  The information in the orientation was really good and helpful.  The support groups are inspirational.  The post-op folks are tremendously supportive.

Hi Nadine... I'm going to get to come back to support goup just as soon as Pride is over! I've had Dykes on Bikes meetings that have been manditory for me to get my patch and to be a road captain in the parade. I miss the group but really had to do this for myself this year. But after this weekend... I'm baaaaaaaaaaak. :)
