Question on food

I have been CRAVING almonds, peanuts, and walnuts.  My doctor told me at my 1 month visit that eventually I would be able to eat nuts again; however, he never said when.  Does anyone have any advice as to when you put these types of foods back into your diet?  Have they affected your weightloss?

I'm about a week after you surgery wise and I think I started eating almonds about a month ago.  They are normally a go to food for me if i need something to tide me over.  They give me a VERY full sensation after eating about five or six of them.

I believe a serving is 12 almonds, which comes to 180 calories.  Eating 6 or 7, just enough to fulfil your craving, is a good thing.  Maybe you're craving Omega 3?

Rae -

My NUT cleared nutes at 3 months - with a caution to control portion size and chew really well.

As you know...foods are different for everyone and my experience with nuts wasn't a pretty one!! I had MAYBE 5 or 6 peanuts and I puked like 3 times!!! I think I was about 6 months out then and I haven't tried peanuts since.

Be careful!  I can attribute some of my long stalls (and I've had plenty!) directly to too many nuts.
One serving is 13 almonds, and well, I don't do 13 almonds.  I have had to put them on my DNB list (Do Not Buy).
To answer your question, I began eating them at about 3 months.
