Phyllis & I have an announcement!!
HELLO ALL!!!
Long time no post, sorry about that! So on June 19th, 2009, I asked Phyllis if she would be my wife, and she said YES!!!!! OMG, still can't believe that we are engaged.
Here is how it went down...
We wanted a one night get away, so we booked a room in a hotel in Galloway, NJ. Before checking into the hotel I told her that I wanted to collect shells on Brigantine Beach. We collect shells wherever we go, so it wasn't too out of the ordinary. While we were walking on the beach, Phyllis became discouraged because all of the shells were small and broken. As she bent down to pick up a small shell, I dropped a BIG one out of my cargo pocket. She didn't hear or see me do it. Once she stood up I pointed out the shell I had just dropped. She saw that it was huge and perfect. She didn't want to touch it, because she was convinced that there was an animal in it. LOL. she went to flick it over to see if there was any little critters. When she flipped the shell, she saw that it read "Can I Keep You?" with a heart drawn on it. ( she actually thought for a split second that it washed up on shore) She said "oh babe, look!" when she turned around to show me, I had the ring box open and stuttered as I said "Will you marry me?" She was jumping up and down, crying, and screaming"ARE YOU SERIOUS, ARE YOU REALLY SERIOUS, FOR REAL?" I kept saying yes, and she kept asking me over and over again. After about 2 minutes of constant are you serious-es and tears, I was finally able to put on the ring. We have been glowing ever since, smiling ear to ear.
OH is such a supportive part of our lives, and we feel like you are all family, so we wanted to share this very very very special moment with you. THANK YOU for all of your supportive words of wisdom
