I got my answer about side burns and I'm biting the bullet and trying to work with them.

Well now I'm starting to notice that I've gone from shaving oh maybe once every 3 days to shaving DAILY...  What gives!!!

AND... I'm drinking my 64+ oz of water every day, but I'm peeling like a mofo

I'm probably going to see a dermatologist only because Ive met my deductible

but.. I figured I'd ask around here to see if anyone has experienced the same thing

WOW... you hit 3 months out and it's like all this stuff comes out of the wood work.  (Seriously, nothing bad... alot of CRAZY good things ;-)     But now it's like seriously... do I need to start buying facial stuff and what not?

You are silly~~~~

I think what you are going through is pretty normal.  Keep in mind before when you weighed more your face was stretched a bit... maybe because you are loosing it's causing your hair folicles to be closer, making it look like you need to shave more?
I had a friend tell me his penis is bigger (by 2 inches) because he's lost so much weight.   I'm kind of concerned about that...  I don't know all of my boys will do with me when I am 10 inches... they run scared now as it is

Best skincare is the world is Keihls!    Sold at your foner dept stores and not crazy expensive!

They say you gain, what, an inch for every thirty pounds lost? Well, I lost 240.  Where's my extra eight inches?  (BTW- I also had a not insignificant increase in size as well.)

Cheers,

hey...on the shaving..I hink it has to do with the vitamans...

I know my finger nails grow faster..

on the dry skin...it's not just out fluid intake..(if only)

I think it's the reduced fat intake..but this is just the world according to Russ

You are all a bunch of size queens!!!

And I agree with my man, Russ.  It's the lack of fluids and fat that makes the skin dry.  That should get better the further out you are.

Hey Tony,

Ok here's the deal.  What you're experiencing is perfectly normal and there is a great medical explination for your increased sex drive, hair growth, and overall positive effects after surgery.

It's testosterone.  There are several published studies that state after WLS a man's testosterone returns to normal or even high-normal.  I don't want to generalize but most overweight men have low testosterone.  Also, the more fat you lose the more stored up estrogen you will lose.  Estrogen is stored in fat.

Anyways, if you're working out and losing weight your testosterone levels will increase.  You can check your levels at the doctor if your curious.

You might even get blemishes again... :)  It's the teen years all over again! haha.

uggghhh... luckily I had fairly good skin as a teenager.

I got myself stocked up on Clinique this past Friday.  She said I extremely dry and sold me a moisturizer.   wow.. what a difference 3 days makes.  I have baby smooth skin ^_^

now if I didnt have to shave every day... this is messing with my mornings :-(

I got a hair cut yesterday and they fixed my feeble attempt on side burns...  I'm actually proud of them!    (Maybe there's still hope for a goatee one day)
