My First Stall

I do believe I've hit my first stall. I got on the scale last Friday and I had actually gained 3 lbs. My diet hadn't changed much so I figured I was just retaining water because the timing was about right. Well I was right about that because Mother Nature reared her ugly head a few days later. I've only lost a pound since then but this is sooooo frustrating!!! I know all I need to do is do what I'm supposed to do - stick to the diet, keep exercising, etc and be patient but grrrrrrrr!!!!!

Just needed to get that off my chest. I feel better now.

I know exactly how you feel- I "gained" like 3 lbs. last week due to damned Aunt Flo, but it's over and it's off. So, just don't weight yourself until it's over and stick to it! Hang in there sister-friend!!!

No way to explain it... But, if you doing what you're supposed to you'll get over it. Stay positive..

Aint Mother Nature a Biotch? I always would gain 5 pounds before that other Biotch came for a visit. Then I would lose it during the week.

Hey hey!  Long time!  I have hit stall after stall.  I am not even judging myself on how much I lose anymore, but how I feel and look!  Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the replies. I know this is one of those things you just have to get through. It's more annoying than anything. I'm sure this will be just like it always has been with me. Retain water and then drop it like a bad habit a week later.

Every single month I deal with the water retention and weight gain.  Be grateful this is your first stall!  I am a staller all the time, but I have learned to not obsess and it starts moving again.  Do what you know is right and everything will move in the right direction soon enough!  Stay off the scale for a few days!  (I know easier said than done)

it'll pass.... I had a 3 week stall that lasted about 2 weeks... and then I dropped 15 lbs in a matter of days.

Right now I'm dealing with a 3 month stall... grrr... I'm so close to 330 I can taste it (that's the weight Wii Fit will stop saying "GET OFF FAT ASS")
