Getting on track again
So I have one more game this week and I am done with football season. I am going to start the 5 day pouch test on the monday following. I am already cutting the carbs back severely. Mainly protien and water.
My weight loss has plateued for a couple months, just the two up two down dance. I know its partially due to increased muscle from all the activity. But still. I am ready to start having dramatic loss again.
Any suggestions out there to jump start it again?

Water and protein are good, but my NUTs have chewed me out for going so exclusively protein heavy.
The best rule of thumb, according to my NUT:
4 ounces protein
1 ounce carb
1 ounce veggie
Mind you, I find myself eating about 8 ounces consistantly now...I'm still trying my best to stick to those numbers, though.

Totally agree. And the vegetables/fruits are necessary for proper digestion of everything else we eat, so they shouldn't be cut out. At least that's what I've been told.
The most important thing is, post-surgery, to make sure you keep enjoying your food and your life. It sounds like you're doing both, so what more could you ask for?
I'm thinking about taking that martial arts class I always wanted to because of your inspiration on the football circuit. Keep it up!
