Break up
Hey yall,
I know I dont post a lot but just need to vent a little I guess. For the past week my gf and I have been not talking. We live about 1200 miles apart and have been together for a little over six years. For almost three of those years we lived in different places. So we got into an argument last week....havent talked for a week and then yesterday we decided to go our separate ways. It was amicable....we are still friends....still care for each other.....but maintaining a long term-long distance relationship is just too hard and we have drifted so far apart.
I feel weird. Like, I knew we should break up...but now that its official I feel more sad....but I know its the right thing. For both of us. Its just weird when something is really over....like all the hopes and dreams and wishes are gone.
Im doing ok....really I am. Its just weird that I dont have that person there that I always turned to. Although she is still there as a friend.....its just a different feeling. And this was an actual adult breakup....no drama...no screaming....no fighting.....sometimes its easier when you are mad at them.

I'm so sorry Michelle, breakups are never easy- but they always teach you something and I hope that you get some wonderful insight from this painful experience. Take lots of time for yourself and enjoy all the little things in your life. Sending you some peaceful vibes.
