Hope you all have a great weekend!

It's Kaiser's special brand of torture. Although, I can't argue too much about being prepared and changing habits in advance of the surgery.
That's a long few months since November!!!! I'm at Kaiser Richmond and they told us at the orientation that it was taking about 3-6 months from orientation to surgery.
I went to the orientation at the end of April and I'm already getting antsy.
Hang in there.
Well the problem was when I met with their NP he told me just to lose 20 lbs. which I did, then when I met with the surgeon he said to lose 20 more- so I'm working on it, but it's so freakin hard!
Are they making you do a whole bunch of classes too?
Well, I really hope that when I meet with surg. agian on the 30th he'll give me a date in Aug. I really really want it to happen this summer so I don't have to miss any work.
Fingers crossed that we get dates soon!!!

They required attendance at a 5 hr. orientation, a meeting with the psychologist and then the surgeon.
They said that we needed to have at the least, monthly weight checks which could happen either by making an appointment with them for a weight check or at the support groups.
I've been going to the support groups twice/month (which I actually really like - just wish there were more lesbians there). I've been told that once I reach my goal weight I should be able to get a surgery date within a month.
I have 9 lbs to go!!!! I'm hoping for a date in August also.
It sounds like they're requiring a little more at your Kaiser.
