New Member in Rhode Island

Hello,

New to the OH boards...live in Providence., Rhode Island. Have been considering WLS for 5+ years.  When I lived in Ohio, I was almost to surgery (Barix Clinics) and decided to wait it out.  Now, am back in the space where I def need some medical/surgical intervention.

Am planning on attending plenty of info nights and support groups to search out some of the best options for me - dont think I am eligible for lap band due to an underlying autoimmune disorder and being on steroids - something to do with the erosion of the band or something like that....but still doibg a lot of research....

Hope to meet some of you around sometime if you are in ther RI, CT, Southern MA area

Welcome to the boards!!  Good for you to obtain the info and to make the right choice for you!!  This board has a lot of great people with a variety of weightloss surgeries.  Just ask away!!

Welcome Andrew! OH in general is a great place for info. This board specifically is a great place for support.

I wanted my surgery done at Barix in Columbus. Compromised with the hubby and had it done here in CT. All my family is in Dayton and wanted to be home with them when I recovered.

Good luck with all the decision making that needs to be done.
