I'm home!

 Hi All!!

Well I made it. Surgery was scheduled for 3:30 but got postponed till 6:15-ish. Was absolutely **** scared in the OR Room (for the 1-2 minutes I was awake in there)! Woke up wining (it's what I do). Demanded to see Kerry like 4 times. Finally got to see her for 10 minutes in the recovery room, then was told I couldn't see anyone till I got up to my room. Got up to my room around 10:45pm! Jeeze! But I do have to say I was pretty damn excited to see my babes, sister, and cousin already on the 9th floor waiting in a the waiting room! They got me in my bed and let my family come in. I was EXCITED! The SCARY part was over. I've been staring at my scars and I can't get over how tiny and clean cut they are. And my dr. only had to do 3 cuts, woo hoo! We took 3 walks (2 of them made me want to vomit) ate some liquid breakfast and saw the Dr. at 11am. He was awesome and said I could go home with my prescriptions of vicodin and nexium.

So... now I'm home, in bed, with my amazing girlfriend about to take a nap. I'm having a lot of discomfort in my stomach and back. It's annoying and more tolerable when I'm standing. I didn't sleep much and hope to get some good sleep as soon as I turn of this computer.

The worst part of it all (pain wise) - The IV!! UGH! It was probably the most painful needle of my life.

Well... Here is to the beginning of the new me! I'm sooo freaking excited! OH and I named my band (bandie) her name is Hayleigh. I'm slightly crazy... this i know!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for ALL your wonderful words of advice!!!!!! I received them all yesterday through my email on my cell phone. It meant a lot!

Glad to hear that you are at home and doing good.  You will be in my prayers.  Just take it easy for a few days but remember to walk and get the gas out!   You will be up and around in no time at all.

YAY! Glad you are home. Like someone else ...keep walking. It will help "work out" the gas!

It must have been nerve-wracking to have to wait, but it sounds like everything went well otherwise.  I'm so happy for you!  I didn't even think to name my pouch.  That's really funny!  Hayleigh will take good care of you.  And be easy on yourself.  Give yourself plenty time to heal and don't do too much too soon.

Congratulations!

You guys are the best!!!!!!! Thank you for your words of encouragement! I feel like I'm doing great! Sitting and standing is not too much fun, but i did manage to take a 30 minute walk around 3 blocks. We went slow, and it was fun. Anywho... had some broth, and some protein. Now I'm waiting for some close friends to stop by!
