Prop h8 was upheld. I am just so dejected right now. I know that it's just an obstacle, but man is it a hurtful one.

Take care of one another.

I was actually down at the courthouse when the ruling came out.  At least I had a chance to yell for a while.

Oh, and I'm new here, but definitely wanted to comment on this one.  What a shame!

I just wish, for one moment, they could be in our shoes. Feel how it feels to be a second class citizen. Feel how it feels to be discriminated against. Feel how it feels to not be able to marry the one that you love, or have been with  for longer than most straight marriages last. The thing to do now is to stick together and try send out positive thoughts regarding gay marriage. And to the straight allies we do have... THANK YOU. Wanna know something totally awesome? My 70 year old grandmother makes sure that when she sees gay owned/friendly businesses, she gives them her primary business, and asks her friends to do the same. My grandfather, who was a 72 year old roman catholic retired marine, totally supported my lesbian relationship. To my family, friends, and straight allies, thank you for your support and positive energy.

Even here in Vancouver, Canada, we are choked!  THere's a big rally here tonight.  I just don't get it, we've had legal same sex marriage here for a few years now and you hear nothing about it.  Why?  Because its a f*&^ing non-issue!
I know that you guys will win in the end, just angry that it's taking so long.
Hugs to all you Californians and anyone else living in a place where you can't marry the one you love.

I'm so sorry.  Don't be dejected because it will happen.  I hate that it is taking so long but so many great things are happening.  Hillary has made it possible for any unmarried couple either gay or straight to be given the same respect and benefits as married couples who are diplomats for this country.  I really believe that federally we are so close to seeing federal laws that will force all states to participate in civil rights for all.  I would feel the same way as you if the roles were reversed but it will get better.  I don't know what the **** California is thinking.  I thought they were the most liberal of all the states and here came Ohio.

Yes it is hurtful but I do believe it will happen sooner than later.  California tends to dissect and analyze.

I am a patient of Dr. Le and just love him.   LOL I always try to get him to laugh!  He is strict and loves what he does!!
