Hi,

I'm not gay or a lesbian, or bisexual, or transgendered but I am liberal and really am too liberal for many of the other boards and end up getting put on ignore when I make liberal or non religious post, which I only do in my own defense or the defense of others.  So, I end up getting ignored and fussed at or slammed and so I wonder the wls boards looking for a site where there is no daily bible verse or daily prayer request or daily thanking god for the family posts and here you guys are and my two best friends in the entire world or gay and they call me their *** hag and even fight over me and so I thought, if it is okay, I could hang out here. I'll try not to push my non religious or non faith views down your throats and I swear I will never ramble on about my DH or anything like that.  I will, though, talk about my kitty as an off topic post.  But, I'm not gay.  Is that okay?

A few people here aren't gay ..they are just supporters. But this is the best board on OH! Everyone is really friendly and helpful. We don't quote bibles here or do daily prayers either LOL!

I am home.  When I told my friends that I had found a GLBT wls site, they said go there and you will not have to listen to those right wingnuts. The truth is that I don't listen to them because they have me on ignore because I am a liberal college professor who is also an atheists.  Because I have taught the Bible as literature, I tried to enter their Bible reading discussions and, you know, offer some insight into their daily bible readings; man was the a bad idea. Anyway, there is so misogyny, homofear, and racism on the other forums that I thought I was going to have to give OH up. 

I noticed that you're from Arkansas. Having been to that part of the world many times I can see why you're having these problems LOL

I teach at the major university here and you have no idea how bad it can get at times.  I live in the most liberal part of the state and when my gay guys and I go out, they put me between them.  I, they say, am their public beard. LOL.  Having come from Arkansas and then leaving for years and coming back, it is really hard to take.  Plus, when I had wls I began the boards on the over fifty one and those women and men are the most right wing that I have ever seen.  They ordered me to not cuss, as they call it.  I still post there, but no one usually posts; although, many read them.  I still post though and mostly out of the ideology that they are not going to silence me.  Anyway, it's nice here so I'll stay and get my support here and **** those hags.  NO, that was mean. LOL. 

You might want to check out the Rants & Raves forum if you like to cuss 'n discuss about liberalism, atheism, and other interesting topics. 

We have a lot of fun over there with thought provoking political & ethical threads, vulgar pictures, and the gays and atheists & agnostics.  We get a long with the Christians and everyone's point of view is respected, unless, of course, they are a fucktard.

Yeah, I've found the forum; mainly because the over fifties told me to go there if I didn't like their bible studies.  I have posted a few things on some of the topics  I started this journey on the over fifty board and made a lot of friends but over the last year, it has changed from wl topics to a prayer meeting place and since I am atheists, I have asked them to cut it out because it really makes me and some of the others uncomfortable.  Also, they are quite misogynistic.  They tell racists jokes and say harmful things about women, which I take offense to.  So, needless to say, I am not very popular there.  I never understood why **** was offensive. Most do it and those who don't want to and using it as a good adjective or verb or adverb can relief so much tension. 

I like to refer to those on the conservative boards a right wingnut fucktards. BTW, before I broke my back, I worked as an RN for almost twenty years; now I am an English professor.  Go figure.

BUWHAAAHAAA!!!  Don't tell 'em you are an English professor.  They will shred your grammmar and spelling to pieces.  It's a hobby for some and is done with love.

Unfortuantely, a PhD doesn't mean my spelling is good; however, my grammar and punctuation is without flaw, unless I just don't give **** LOL.
