Yesterday was so exciting...I got a great 6 month review from my surgeon.  And then as I'm sitting with the nut MaryB...I hear this..."Is that Brid?" from down the hall.  And there was Aaron...lol.  So I got to meet Aaron and check on his physical condition...it's great to see him out and about...looking very good honey!!

Aaron - it was great to meet you in person!! Hope you had a good time at Nacho Mamas...I love Mexican food!  Let me know if you ever come down for a support group...I never go to them, but as you know we make a commitment - so I've got to get them done...lol.  It would be great to meet up for dinner and a group.

Oh totally!  mary B has been pushing me to come to one of Dr. K's support groups......she actually wanted me to come and speak at a seminar tomorrow evening but it's at 6:30 and since I work in Frederick, I would have to break a few laws in order to get there on time LOL  i figure she gave you the monthly meeting schedule to the end of the year....we'll have to make a date and go together :)

I think it's awesome that you got to meet Brid and she got to meet you... but I just have to say something about your parentheses... WTF? You are only 20 pounds from goal after having lost HOW MUCH WEIGHT? ... like what would THAT percentage be? And you've been through holy hell with your health and your legs and pain and not being able to exercise and you haven't gain half of it back like most people would... and he's disappointed? Oh, HELL NO! He should have put a framed picture of you on his office wall with a caption that read THIS IS HOW TO SUCCEED WITH WLS PEOPLE!!! Disappointed my ass! There should be no disappointment in this equation looking at this year... You, my fabulous friend, have done amazing things, done them with an incredible spirit and unfailing attitude and there is only pride in me for you and gratitude that we are friends... because you inspire me to always be just a little better despite any excuses.

I don't think there's any way to respond to this other than "ditto."

LOL and that's why i love you!!!!  i told him about what's been going on and everything with the edema and the cellulitis and the arthritis (my next doc appointment is with the orthopedist for summore of the liquid gold called cortisone LOL) and hell even my grandfather dying and he listened and understood what i have been going through.  After that his manner changed a LITTLE  LOL  He even said himself that he doesn't know how much extra fluid I'm carrying around with me because of the edema but is still pushing me to exercise because the second year, most regular people will only lose about 10 - 15 more pounds and that's all she wrote......however since coming from such high numbers he said i could possibly get off another 30 - 40 pounds IF I get my leg taken care of and get back to exercising.  I do have to fess up that my exercising has been non existen for most of the time after surgery......only when I can and am physically able to.  once I get my knee taken care of, I'll be right back on that treadmill no doubt but until then, I have to do other things.  I'm sure I'm going to get a lot more exercise when I move into my new house with all the stuff I have to do to it and to maintain it.  it's going to come off...I am determined.  He's a hard ass because he cares and I understand that.......BUT I am proud of what I have done so far and if i don't lose another pound (but don't gain anything back)  i'll still be a happy camper.  it's my doctor who's gotta live with yet another "failed" surgery.
