nasty taste in mouth
it will pass once you start to slow down in your weightloss......it's very common for people to get halitosis from surgery because halitosis comes from the stomach.....not your mouth......and since your plumbing has been reworked, halitosis is just a byproduct of it.....I had it...it will go away though :)
It's really normal... right now part of it is from the gasses from the anesthesia. As time goes on it will be from ketosis, the biproduct of the weight loss. DO NOT CHEW GUM!!! I don't care what anyone says. If you accidentally swallow it, you are looking at an endoscopy to remove it. And that is not pleasant. You can brush your teeth often or use spray, or gargle or use breath strips but DO NOT CHEW GUM!
The nasty taste from the anesthesia will pass in a few days and it's worse than from the ketosis. It will get better.
But really since it's not in your mouth, not much is going to help. Just ask Fran to understand and be patient. It will pass as soon as your rapid weight loss slows down.
