Skin issues?
I'm very curious about something... does everyone have skin issues after surgery?
I have read so many different accounts concerning this topic.
I have heard age makes a difference, to drink a lot of water, to moisturize, vitamins are essential, to work out, and then I've heard nothing matters and all attempts are futile.

I have some extra skin, under my chin and around the middle. I have heard it can take up too a year or so for the skin to catch up. I asked my Dr last month about the skin/fat around my tummy, she said the only way to get that off was to have it cut off. i have started doing more abcrunches and working out more on that area and I can tell its getting a little better.
<---------has enough extra skin to share. I was 190 pre-pregnancy and after I had my daughter I was left with a nice 'baby belly' that only continued to grow as I gained weight. My heaviest was 285. In that particular area no amount of exercise is going to help. I know people that are 5+ years out and still have flabby areas. They've maintained their weight and exercise and it doesn't help, but they are maintaining so that is good.
Ive started to have some skin issues... But, I am down 140 or so pounds since last year most of that was done pre-op so I dont know if that makes a difference or not. But, I thought considering the size I started and my age,, I would have a bigger issue with it now. The more people you talk to about this issue the more you noticed its different for just about everyone. I have not havent anyone tell me any really reliable secrets for taking care of it other then more surgery...
